Project definition - management or management? 

Project management is the management and planning of activities aimed at achieving business goals through project implementation.

Project management - it may include: planning, scheduling, implementation (trial and proper) and control of tasks needed to achieve project goals in a given time and budget. Project management is the scope of activity and responsibility of many people, with the critical position being the Project Manager. The correct and effective project implementation depends on the quality of the selection of project staff and the effectiveness of its management. Of course, as long as the project itself is professionally prepared.

Project management is very often referred to as effective achievement of goals using project resources, i.e. time, money, people.
